A Perfect Morning…and Cake:)

*Sorry about the dodgy formatting, I’m still blogging from my phone! Also the Internet connection where I’m staying is really bad which is making responding difficult, but I promise I read and appreciate each and every comment and email:)*
I had THE MOST PERFECT morning run ever today. I’m not the biggest morning person normally, but this view just made me so happy:)
Six glorious miles through the wooded trail alongside the lake, and I didn’t see another soul the entire time!
Since my normal run-view back home
is of endless roads and houses, this is perfection:)
I made myself a proper lunch today, which was a butternut squash nut roast (delicious!!), with new potatoes and baby spinach:
After a two hour hike up a mountain…
…I headed into town and stumbled across an AMAZING vegetarian cafe called The Lakeland Pedlar
I left with two bags full of food, including the most DELICIOUS hummus and falafel wrap that i’ve ever had!
Aaaaaand…vegan chocolate fudge cake!!
The cake was perfect, and I think I’m going to go back here every day and have a slice or ten;)
I’m off to have a nap before my evening run. All this activity is making me tired:)
Where is the best place you’ve ever run?
I loved running in Hawaii too, but it was so hot, even early in the morning!

Have a great week friends! <3

It looks so lovely there. In the Lake District there are a ton of places to hit up for wild swimming if you’re into that kind of thing, good to cool down after a run!

The Lake District looks like a lovely place to run in. My favourite place was in Sherwood forest, but since being here on holiday I have had 2 runs in Hawaii and it is just beautiful (although very hot!). I think variety is good anyway.

Hey girl! I know it’s been forever, but I figured it was time for me to delurk and say hi
The place you’re staying looks absolutely beautiful! There’s nothing like running/walking on a gorgeous trail in the mountains… as long as you don’t come across a bear

I do enjoy running in the country! I used to live in the middle of nowhere and wouldn’t see anyone else either. Iv since moved to Glasgow and it’s a bit different but people wave and say hello when you run by them which is nice
also just last weekend discovered a really good trail track right near my flat!
Glad you had a good time! Enjoy your foodie goodies!

Love your running route, looks stunning! My favourite place I have run would probably be Bolivia or San Francisco, although the altitude was intense in Bolivia.

That looks amazing. So jealous. I’ve really enjoyed running most places that are off the beaten path.

I live in town and therefore I do my runs along the pavements. I wish I could be at such a place like lake District. It’s a pretty awesome place for running.

Hope I can work up to that someday. Work up to that activity and loving it, that is.
And man.. You sure are staying active! Haha, 6 mile run AND THEN a 2 mile hike? I don't know if I'm just getting lazy, but that sounds like so much!
Good for you!
