Coffee Buzz

This is why I haven’t been posting as much recently:

My dog (who is in dire need of a haircut!) likes to use my laptop to nap on. So blame him! ;)

The highlight of my week has been courtesy of Starbucks.

Free coffee? This made my YEAR. Of course, I had to go the extra mile and hit up all three of the Starbucks’ in my town within an hour. So worth it:)

I think it’s safe to say that I was on a MAJOR caffeine high afterwards haha!

I’m having a quick breakfast right now, and then I’m off to Somerset!

Steel cut banana oatmeal with crunchy almond butter and jam

It is my LAST cross country race of the season! I am excited for it, but also kinda relieved! I have been racing most weeks since October, and honestly I am feeling a little burned out! I think I just need a week of just easy running to give myself a break! Saying that, my first track race is in two weeks (EXCITING!!), so that probably won’t happen haha! Still, I am SO pumped for this race! Somerset is sposed to be beautiful…

…and this is the first time that I’m representing my county (note county not country…like a state!) on a national level!! I can’t wait to meet the other members of the team, have fun in a hotel tonight, and then work as a team to kill it tomorrow! I am ready to leave it all out there on my last cross country race!

I’m never ready to see the oh-so-attractive race photos though ;)

Have an amazing Friday and weekend friends! <3

I watched some of the cross country racing last weekend (it was up North somewhere) – I could not believe how many people were in each race- over 100 in some of them so the starts looked crazy. So good luck!
And ha ha to the free coffee- you must have been so jittery after that!

  25. Funny..there’s something about the phrasing of “tell us your name this morning” that makes me want to say “This morning my name is…”..like maybe tomorrow it won’t be!

  26. Hey!

So I’ve been reading your blog for the last few days and I love it!! After losing just over a stone (16lbs) that I’d gained whilst travelling for a year, I kept thinking about exercise and your blog has just given me the push to set my treadmill up and start running! I only ran (ok, I VERY slowly jogged!) 1.5miles today, but it felt good and I’m inspired that I can get better at it… even though right now it feels like it might take forever to be able to actually run, and to run miles plural!

    So yeh, Thanks!! :)
