What A Weekend!

HEY friends!! Had a good weekend?

Wow has this been an eventful few days for me! It’s been a long weekend, as I had Friday off, and it was an AWESOME day!!

I did a quick morning workout (elliptical+lifting) then got my bake on! I was spending the day with friends, and OBVIOUSLY I always bring baked goods because that is my THING!

Mama Pea’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake. My first time having a cookie cake and HOLY MOLY is it amazing!! I had so much of it…sooooo good! Open-mouthed smile

And I baked some blueberry oatmeal muffins, from Happy Herbivore. These are the best blueberry muffins I have ever had!

It was hot and sunny, so we had a picnic in the sun! I am LOVING this weather and making the most of it!

The evening was even better! A bunch of us spent the night chilling at a friend’s house.

And there was amazing home cooked Indian food!! My vegan-friendly half of the spread included curried potatoes, chana masala (chickpea curry) and tarka dal (lentils):

Indian food is my FAVE!! I could live off dal and paratha Smile

We ate out on the balcony and spent most of the night out there, talking the night away. It was perfect Smile

Unfortunately Saturday was NOT so perfect for me! A few months ago, I contracted this sickness virus thing, and according to my doctor its a recurring one, which may keep coming back randomly for about 6 months! Aaaand it cropped up again yesterday. Fun Times. I kept NOTHING down all day!!

Not the simple PB&J…

…nor some plain blueberry oatmeal…

…nor, most sadly, a YUMMY blueberry muffin yoghurt mess:

But thankfully, today was FINE! I woke up feeling ok, but didn’t want to push it with some pancakes, but trust me, I’ll be making up for it SOON…I’m thinking Pancake Monday? Winking smile

What was the highlight of your weekend?

Current favourite food? Blueberry muffins. And chocolate chip cookie cake!!

What are you most looking forward to this week? My first ever race with the team- regional XC race on Saturday!! Hoping to get the ok from the physio tomorrow Smile

Have a great week friends!! <3

  7. Just una question…how come you tried to eat the kind of heavy (but delicious) stuff when you knew you were having trouble keeping stuff down? It looks super colorful and varying in flavor, which I know hurting tummies don’t like.

    I love your sundress!

    • To be honest, I’ve had this virus three times before in the last few months, and I know that no matter WHAT I eat on that day, whether it’s toast or cake, it’s not gonna stay down! So I just eat food I enjoy! :P If I was just sick normally, then yes I would stick to something simple like toast! And thanks!! <3
