It is no secret that I love birthdays. (I am so sorry if you are totally bored of reading about it for the 100000th time but this is the last one I promise and I won’t mention my birthday again for another 11 months!!)

Sad truth.

 

I love birthdays because I take my challenge of having birthday cake for/with every meal very very seriously. Don’t think I’m kidding.

 

Birthday Breakfast:

Ok, dinner ITSELF wasn’t cake (it was takeaway pizza! Smile with tongue out) but of course I followed it with cake!close-up_of_slice_of_birthday_cake_600-02461249

Yes I know I’ve posted that photo three posts in a row, but I had the best cake EVER thanks to Katie! I made her Healthier Chocolate Cake and then unhealthified it by smothering it in tons of vegan chocolate buttercream hehe Winking smile

 

I love birthdays because you get to throw parties and bake endless desserts for them! (P.S. This is KATIE’S awesome photo- I was a bad blogger and forgot to snap a photo!!)

I spent this morning baking for hours! I made a birthday cake, funfetti blondies (above), brownies, and choc chip cookies, all of which are from CCK! If you ever want an awesome recipe, you know where to go! Open-mouthed smile

 

I love birthdays because…ok, I’m going to say it and sound totally materialistic, but I love PRESENTS!! Sorry people, but it’s true. Especially presents from people who know you all too well…DSC03172

 

I love and NEED the recipe notebook, because this is how I keep my recipes currently…

I have scraps of paper with recipes jotted on lying around EVERYWHERE! Smile with tongue out

 

Most of all, I  love birthdays because you get to party with your favourite people who know you WAY too well and make your slice of cake at least three times bigger than everyone else’s. And then don’t judge when you go back for seconds thirds Smile

I am SHATTERED now though. While I love having parties, I really don’t love the clean-up process afterwards! Smile with tongue out

That was after a solid half hour of tidying up!!

 

What do you love most about birthdays? Eating as many desserts as possible Being with people I love!!

 

Do you prefer being the host(ess) or the guest? I love both, but guest just wins it in that I don’t have to clean up so much!

 

What are you looking forward to this week? Hopefully another team practice tomorrow if my legs are feeling ok, my new camera arriving, and going shopping for some new running shoes at the weekend!

    Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! You make me smile SO much.

    Also, happy birthday again!!! And again and again :) . I only wish I could wish it to you in real life. How about this: someday we will get together and throw ourseves a birthday party that lasts for the entire month of September :) .

    Hey. How did you make your cake so thick? I made that recipe the other day and it came out paper thin. Did you bake it in a small pan or something? I’m dying to know! Thanks!

    I love you for “unhealthifying” a healthy recipe. You always make me laugh! I’m glad you had such a great birthday. When it comes to parties, I much rather be a guest than a host. Clean up? No thank you. Birthday girls shouldn’t have to clean!

    Yay for having an awesome (and scrumptious birthday)! I love birthdays for those exact reasons…cake/dessert x100000 and spending time with my loved ones! I think I managed to score 5 cakes this year, I aim to double it next year :) !

    You looked AMAZING at the party! And I love how you unhealthified your cake and how you eat birthday cakes for every meal :) You really know how to celebrate, don´t you? :)
    I prefer being a guest – you don´t have to clean, you can leave if the party is boring etc. :)

    Eeee! I love your multiple birthday cakes! Those sugary sprinkles are so sweet (literally and figuratively speaking hehehe) and you and your friends are all so stunning! It must look like a troop of models on a night out!

    I prefer being a guest, but only because as a hostess I get so worried that I’m boring everyone or people aren’t having a good time…then again, I worry about the former as a guest too!

    Yaaay happy birthday again! It looks like you had an amazing time and some amazing eats! why can’t we have birthdays every week so we can have cake at least that often? lol.

    Oh and i LOVE your dress in that one photo!! so cute!! I want to go shopping in the UK now haha

    I’ve never been huge on my birthday – like I never really make a deal of it – but other people do anyways and that’s what I love! it’s the day you realize how much everyone really loves you cuz they go out of their way to treat you even when you don’t expect them to! Oh, and getting to choose the dessert, the restaurants etc…Always a plus!

    Hope you get that track practice in!! :-) be nice to those leggies! I’m looking forward to my first run today!

    Hee I love your posts!! So glad you enjoyed your birthday! :D I haven’t celebrated mine in 4 years because its always the day of an important exam!I love being the hostess and don’t mind the cleaning up because of the fabulous ingenious invention called disposable utensils– just have to throw! Haha and I love it when my house is full of people. Eat more cake!!! :D (I ate loads on near my birthday too though i didn’t celebrate it haha)

    Everything in this post looks so delicious!!! Especially the cake… oh my goodness I want it! Though honestly i’d have to make it in cupcake form. Closer to a muffin. It’s all about the single serving (lies, I always eat more than one. I just don’t like getting a knife dirty).
    I like to be the hostess. I love making food and cleaning up and making someone’s day awesome since they got to go to a party!

    Happy birthday!!! :D I think you are an absolute genius for having cake for every meal of the day on your b-day! I’m so going to try it next year when time rolls around to mine. Okay, I might have the oat bake cake over the weekend when I have time to make it, but I think the weekend is a good enough reason to celebrate haha.     Happy Birthday! It looks like you had a fantastic one :) Your birthday eats all look great and you got a copy of Vegan cookies-lucky! I finally got into the habit of typing up recipe cards and organizing a book for myself. Still, I tend to have several scraps of paper to type up before I get around to it.

    Hi Emma! Your birthday looks like it was full of yummy eats! I really need to try that pizzert recipe. Looks super delicious! By the way, your dress (and hair) are super pretty!

    I like being the guest rather than the hostess too. Then I don’t have to worry about running around making sure everyone is happy. :) I’m looking forward to celebrating my birthday this weekend! It seems like a lot of bloggers have September birthdays! :P
